Visa Information
Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet the entry requirements for Panama. Citizens of most countries do not need a visa to enter Panamá and can stay for a maximum of 90 days. Some countries require special permits such as a stamped visa or authorized visa. These visas must be obtained prior to travel and have different requirements.
See the full list of visa-exempt countries and those requiring visas at: https://www.embassyofpanama.org/visas.
Attendees who require a visa are encouraged to begin the application process well in advance. Invitation letters for visa purposes will be provided upon request.
For visa support or questions regarding invitation letters, participants may contact Hannah Li, Conference Secretariat, at li@ica.coop.

Special Visa Application Process
To facilitate your participation in the 2026 ICA Global Conference in Panama, the International Cooperative Alliance and Cooperatives of the Americas have agreed a special procedure with the Panamanian authorities for participants experiencing difficulties or delays in obtaining a visa for entering Panama (i.e you need to apply for a visa to travel to Panama, and there is no Panamanian embassy in your country or similar).
As preliminary step: please check if you really need a visa for entering Panama (list of Countries requiring/not requiring visa): https://www.embassyofpanama.org/visas-1
As a first step to access this procedure, applicants must be pre-identified, therefore please complete the following form where the requested information will be: mailto:li@ica.coop mailto:carlos.gonzalez@aciamericas.coop
- Full given name(s) and family name(s) as shown in your passport.
- Date of birth.
- Passport number.
- A clear scanned copy of your passport.
Form link: https://forms.gle/WTtydm25KqkuXCzB8
Once preliminarily identified, all the participants requiring support with their visa will subsequently receive a link provided by the Government of Panama to complete the online visa application and upload the following documents:
- Hotel reservation.
- Flight reservation.
- Scanned copy of the passport.
Once the online application has been reviewed and approved, each applicant will receive an appointment at the corresponding Embassy or Consulate General of Panama to complete the process in person.
Please note that:
- The documents presented at the appointment must match those submitted through the online application.
- An invitation letter from the ICA does not replace this special procedure. Applications submitted through the standard process may take up to three months.
We recommend submitting the requested information as soon as possible to facilitate the necessary arrangements and avoid delays in the process.
If you need additional assistance, please email to li@ica.coop and cc always carlos.gonzalez@aciamericas.coop.
