Alex Ortega Pinto

Dr. Alex Ortega Pinto is President of the Board of Directors of Cooperativa de Servicios Múltiples Profesionales, R.L. in Panama, one of the country’s largest cooperative organizations serving professionals, particularly in the health sector.

In his leadership role, he promotes the strengthening of the cooperative’s membership base, financial sustainability and the delivery of services that combine economic value with social benefits for members and their families.

Ortega emphasizes cooperative principles such as solidarity, mutual support and collective responsibility, encouraging members to actively contribute to the institution’s growth and long-term development. Under the cooperative’s current leadership, Cooperativa Profesionales has consolidated its position among Panama’s largest cooperatives and has been classified by IPACOOP in its highest asset segment.
