Akram Altaher

Akram Altaher has been the General Director for the Economic & Social Development Centre of Palestine (ESDC). He has 28 years of experience in the international cooperation and Socio- Economic development in Palestine including Cooperatives, SMEs, small farmers. Within his experience he has been supervise ESDC team to develop and implement tens of developmental projects and programs to build the institutional and business capacities of more than 150 individual cooperative and sectorial union in Palestine.

Besides that, he was key player in improving the production environment for the small and medium enterprises and cooperatives, also facilitating the agricultural market system and specific value chain level.

Akram Altaher has master’s degree in the “International Studies” since 1997. And he joined the cooperative movement since 1992.

Also, Mr. Altaher is working as a board member at New Farm for processing and Marketing company (Cooperative Company), and a board member at TURBA Co. for Economic & Technical consulting services.
